Skopje, 11 May 2025 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Timcho Mucunski in the coming two days will be paying a working visit to Sweden at the invitation of Swedish Foreign Minister, Maria Malmer Stenergard.

In addition to meeting with Minister Stenergard, Mucusnki will also meet with the Minister for EU Affairs, Jessica Rosencrantz, and Håkan Jevrell, State Secretary to Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said. 

In the Swedish Parliament (The Riksdag), the Minister will hold a meeting with Kerstin Lundgren, the Third Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament with high officials and members of the parliamentary commissions for foreign affairs and European affairs as well as members of the friendship and cooperation group with North Macedonia’s Parliament in attendance. 

As part of the visit, Minister Mucunski will meet with Macedonian diaspora representatives and visit the St. Naum of Ohrid church in Malmö.

The visit aims at boosting overall bilateral relations by strengthening the political dialogue and enhancing economic relations between the two countries. Talks will focus on advancing bilateral ties, reaffirming Sweden’s support of the European integration process of the Republic of North Macedonia and on sharing of views on crucial regional, European and global issues, said the press release.
