Skopje, 30 July 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Wednesday with Irish Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, Thomas Byrne, discussing the country's European prospects and its continued commitment to the reform process.

FM Mucunski highlighted the Government's clear commitment and engagement in the implementation of reforms, while expecting concrete support to the enlargement process during next year's Irish EU Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

Minister Byrne reaffirmed Ireland's principled, vocal and consistent support to North Macedonia's EU integration, noting it is a strategic and security issue for the entire Union.

Interlocutors also tackled opportunities for enhancement of bilateral cooperation, with a focus on economy and trade, reads the press release.
