Five active fires, two firefighting aircraft engaged near Lake Prespa
Skopje, 24 July 2025 (MIA) - Out of the 16 wildfires registered across the country, five are still active, six are under control and five have been extinguished, said the Crisis Management Center (CMC) late on Thursday.
Two firefighting aircraft are engaged in the extinguishing operations of a fire on the shore of Lake Prespa.
The active fires are burning in the municipalities of Vasilevo, Prilep, Makedonski Brod and Shtip.
Fires in Prilep, Zhelino, Makedonski Brod (4) are under control.
