Skopje, 13 August 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Finance has transferred a fifth tranche of Mden 700.9 million or EUR 11.3 million in funds intended to support domestic companies to the Development Bank, said the Ministry in a press release Wednesday.
The Ministry said the funds were transferred from the budget based on a request submitted by the Development Bank, following project approvals by commercial banks.
It added that funds of EUR 250 million have been allocated in the 2025 budget for supporting the domestic economy and businesses.
“So far, five tranches totaling EUR 171.1 million have been transferred to domestic companies. The funds for supporting the domestic economy were secured through a loan from the Hungarian Export-Import Bank, with the aim of providing financing under favorable conditions for investments in the private sector. To date, 68 percent of this credit line has been utilized by domestic companies,” the Ministry said in its press release.
