Skopje, 8 October 2025 (MIA) — At a campaign rally held in Krivogashtani, SDSM leader Venko Filipche pointed out that the development of Krivogashtani was due to the social democratic policies of SDSM and the current mayor, Nikolche Miskoski, and said when honest people were in office, life changed for the better.
"Krivogashtani is now the most developed rural municipality in Macedonia," Filipche said, adding that Miskoski's team had "more than 40 projects completed and several in progress, which is truly a commendable result and confirmation that in Krivogashtani there has not been only talk and promises, but action!"
"That is the difference between SDSM and all the others. We do not make promises to get applause, we make promises to change people's lives for the better," the SDSM leader said.

In his speech, Filipche strongly criticized the VMRO-DPMNE government and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski for their neglect of farmers.
"Farmers, who are our country's pride, have been degraded. They were promised sure procurements, fair prices, regular subsidies. And what did Macedonian farmers get? Disappointment, as they watch their toil and sweat rot in the fields," Filipche said.
He pointed out that only 30% of last year's subsidies had been paid, recalling the time when SDSM was in power and implemented a fair subsidy model.

The SDSM leader added that investing in young farmers had been one of the party's most successful projects, motivating them to stay home and contribute to the agricultural sector.
Filipche urged locals to vote for SDSM's mayoral candidate for Krivogashtani, Igor Karaviloski.
Karaviloski said he would continue building on Miskoski's achievements, aiming for "a modern, orderly and prosperous municipality."
He promised locals to resurface asphalt streets and improve roads, including better pavements and new speed bumps; expand the sewage network; build a new library and clear illegal dumping sites, among other things. mr/
