Skopje, 13 October 2025 (MIA) – These are not regular elections. Now is the time to come together, unite the strength of everyone who has been let down, everyone who believes this country can be built differently, said SDSM leader Venko Filipche at a rally in the Municipality of Cheshinovo Obleshevo on Monday.
Filipche stressed that SDSM is fighting for “higher wages and a country that works for its citizens – not for the ruling party’s elites”.
“We are fighting for a minimum wage of EUR 500, for order and justice, for a country working for its citizens and not for partisan elites. The people don’t live on statistical figures, they know how much bread and milk cost, they know how difficult it is to survive,” Filipche said.

The SDSM leader said with the party’s mayoral candidate for Cheshinovo Obleshevo, Gorancho Krstev, the municipality would develop.
“With Gorancho Krstev, Cheshinovo Obleshevo will be a municipality of satisfied citizens, without corruption, orderly and clean, with a completely improved infrastructure, social security, support for young people, tourism development, and care for every populated area,” Filipche said.
Filipche said in the past four years VMRO-DPMNE has not realized a single significant project in the municipality, showing “neither willingness nor capacity for responsible governance”.
