Skopje, 16 October 2025 (MIA) – SDSM leader Venko Filipche told a rally Thursday in Chucher Sandevo that the power of the people will be restored at the upcoming elections through a decision that will guarantee progress and a secure future, adding that SDSM is also coming back with it.

“We’re counting down to a new victory in Chucher Sandevo. In three days, united in the fight for our home, in hope for a better future and love for the homeland, let us send a clear message: the power of the people is returning, the voice of the honest citizen is returning, SDSM is returning. On Sunday, together we will declare that we choose honest work, honest people who listen and work for the citizens. Sunday is the day to make the best decision for our home, our neighborhood, our family, and the future of the country. And the best decision is the one that guarantees progress, ensures a secure future, and offers perspective. Only SDSM and our candidates for mayors and councilor lists can guarantee that,” said Filipche.

Speaking at the rally, the leader of the country’s main opposition party called for a massive turnout “for a free, and not a captured state” stressing that on October 19, every vote will count and every vote for SDSM is a vote for order and justice.

“On October 19, every vote counts and matters. Your vote on Sunday is a vote for progress, order, justice, and security. Don’t let us leave our home to those who are far from the people, who only pursue their own interests, who neglected our municipalities, and who now seem poised to capture the state once again. On Sunday, show up in large numbers at the polling stations and make sure the future of our municipalities, our country, and Chucher Sandevo is secure, with people who work honestly, care for everyone, and build for all in every community,” Filipche said.
