Makedonski Brod, 1 October 2025 (MIA) - SDSM has never acted as fake patriots before voters but fought for what is believes and will continue to believe, leader Venko Filipche told a rally in Makedonski Brod on Wednesday.

"We did not pose as fake patriots but fought for better positions. And while we were fighting, half of the current ministers took Bulgarian passports. This is the difference between statesmen and petty politicians," said Filipche.

He added that SDSM has always been the party that solved problems and moved the country forward, while VMRO-DPMNE was hindering every process.

"There is no progress with fake patriots. There is no progress with greedy and selfish politicians getting rich at the citizens' expense. There is no progress with fake justice fighters who fill up institutions and the judiciary with their own people but use justice for campaigns. People who run away from reforms like the devil from the cross. We will never be the same," said Filipche.

The SDSM leader said citizens have seen through VMRO-DPMNE's intentions, telling Mickoski to refrain from threats "because no one is afraid of you".
