Skopje, 1 October 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance Arben Fetai met Wednesday in Skopje with the Montenegrin Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj, who is on official visit to the country.

In a press release, Fetai’s Office said the meeting, held with the goal of enhancing bilateral cooperation, highlighted the importance of firm and friendly relations between the two countries, which, the Office said, serve as an example of regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.

Fetai and Dukaj emphasized that North Macedonia and Montenegro maintain excellent bilateral relations, which can be further enhanced through joint initiatives in key areas such as public administration reform, digital transformation, and information security, as vital sectors for modernizing state institutions and improving services for citizens. 

“Our two countries share common goals and values. Through the exchange of experiences and expertise, we can achieve significant progress in reforms and strengthen regional development,” Fetai said. 
Fetai and Dukaj agreed that deepening cooperation will be realized through joint programs and projects, which will not only strengthen ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro but also support sustainable development across the region. This includes initiatives to align with the standards of the European Union, a shared goal of both countries on their path toward European integration, Fetai’s Office said.

The official visit of Minister Dukaj, Fetai’s Office said, confirms the commitment of both countries to continue building bridges of cooperation. In the coming period, joint activities are expected to intensify, including joint workshops, regional conferences, and projects funded by international partners. These initiatives will reinforce the partnership and contribute to economic and social progress in the region.

“This meeting is another step toward strengthening the ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro, with a clear vision for a shared future based on cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development,” Fetai’s Office noted in the press release.
