Fair financing for management of global challenges, Siljanovska Davkova tells FfD4 conference

Skopje, 30 June 2025 (MIA) - Access to fair financing is the key prerequisite for success and credible partnerships in the management of global challenges, said President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova in her address at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), held in Seville under the auspices of the United Nations.

President Siljanovska Davkova highlighted the importance of multilateralism and the joint global efforts in fighting poverty, climate change, inequality and social injustice.
Siljanovska Davkova issued caution there are serious geopolitical and economic risks that undermine prior achievements, while voicing faith for a better and more sustainable world, the President's Office said in a press release.

According to her, the new Pact for the Future is a renewed global social contract, in which all stakeholders need to share responsibility.
Noting that almost two-thirds of the Sustainable Development Goals are related to European Union reforms, the President said the country's National Development Strategy 2024-2044 is aligned with the latest UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.

Siljanovska Davkova also thanked the UN, EU and development agencies from multiple countries, as well as international financial institutions for their comprehensive support through projects in the fields of green transition, health, education and infrastructure, reads the press release.
