Evaluation completed for over 110 injured in Kochani nightclub fire treated abroad

Kochani, 25 May 2025 (MIA) - A team of medical specialists from Skopje clinics has completed the evaluation of over 110 victims injured in the fire at the "Pulse" nightclub, during their visit to the General Hospital in Kochani.

The patients, previously treated abroad, are now receiving daily physical therapy and wound care locally. Hospital director Kristina Serafimova confirmed that patients treated in domestic clinics also took part in the evaluations.

A detailed report outlining the condition of the patients, two months after the tragic event, is expected in the coming days.

Healthcare workers, in coordination with volunteers from "Support Kocani," are actively working to ensure adequate financial and healthcare support for the injured.

Forty patients at the Kochani General Hospital are receiving physical therapy for joint mobility issues, and another 70 are being treated for burn wounds. The treatment of many of the patients will take several years, and they must avoid exposing their injuries to sunlight and external factors.

A major issue at the General Hospital continues to be the lack of medical staff, especially nurses. Doctors, physiotherapists, and surgical nurses from the Shtip hospital are assisting the Kochani medical team.
