Dozens injured in Russian drone attack on Ukraine's Kharkiv

Kiev, 30 April 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Dozens of people have been injured following a Russian drone strike on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov has said.
At least 39 people had been injured, some seriously, he wrote on Telegram.
He said at least 16 strikes had been recorded, with high-rise buildings, homes, a medical facility and civilian infrastructure damaged.
Elsewhere, the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, as well as the Kherson region, were targeted by drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said. According to regional governor Serhiy Lysak, at least one person was killed in Dnipro.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities in the Donetsk region reported 16 injuries following an Ukrainian artillery attack on the town of Horlivka.
The information could not initially be independently confirmed.
Ukraine has been defending itself against Russia's full-scale invasion with Western support for more than three years.
