Documentary on Ohrid marathon to premiere at St. Sophia church

Skopje, 28 August 2025 (MIA) -- Ilija Piperkoski's documentary "Time, Water, Legacy: Ohrid" will be shown for the first time at an outdoor screening in front of the St. Sofia church in Ohrid at 9:15 pm.
According to its producers, the film is a dynamic documentary about the Ohrid swimming marathon, which was founded 70 years ago.
"Through rare archival material and new interviews with the legendary Diki Bojadzhi, Teodora Raptis, Tomi Stefanovski, Evgenij Pop Acev and 11-time winner Petar Stojchev, it reconstructs the marathon's evolution from its pioneer years and Atina Bojadzhi's English Channel feat to the famous 1990s and the challenges it faces today," producers said.
The film was written and directed by Ilija Piperkoski, edited by Nikola Ristov and filmed by Dancho Stefkov, Dejmi Daut, Zoran Stavrev, Dimko Sazdov and Viktor Krstanoski. It was produced by Dancho Stefkov. The sound designer is Darko Spasovski.
Kocho Paskali, Riste Savin, Zorica Nestor, Goran Stojanovski, Diki Bojadzhi, Teodora Raptis, Tomi Stefanovski, Evgenij Pop Acev and Petar Stojchev appear in the documentary. mr/
