Dimitrieska-Kochoska attends IMF/WB Annual Meetings in Washington
- Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska will begin a working visit Tuesday to the U.S. to attend the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank being held this week in Washington.
Skopje, 14 October 2025 (MIA) – Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska will begin a working visit Tuesday to the U.S. to attend the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank being held this week in Washington.
During the visit, Dimitrieska-Kochoska will meet with top representatives of international financial institutions to outline the government’s economic and fiscal policies, efforts toward fiscal consolidation, macroeconomic stability, and sustainable economic growth, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska is expected to hold meetings with IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li, Executive Director Jeroen Clicq, Deputy Executive Directors Marnix van Rij and Vladyslav Rashkovan, Director of the IMF’s European Department Alfred Kammer, and IMF Mission Chief for our country, Nick Gigineishvili. She will also meet with World Bank Vice President Antonella Bassani, Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath, Regional Director for the Western Balkans, Europe, and Central Asia Xiaoqing Yu, and World Bank Country Director Carole Megevand.
Dimitrieska-Kochoska is expected to hold meeting in Washington with U.S. Treasury officials, focusing on cooperation to enhance institutional efficiency, and with investors participating in the Eurobond issuance process.
This year’s IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings, themed “Opportunity in Times of Change,” will bring together ministers of finance, central bank governors, business and civil society representatives, academics, and others to discuss current global conditions, challenges, and possible solutions.
Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska is attending the IMF/WB Annual Meetings in Washington together with National Bank Governor Trajko Slaveski.
