Dimitrieska Kochoska at Eurasian Economic Summit: Joint initiatives, cooperation to overcome challenges

Skopje, 7 May 2025 (MIA) - As part of a working visit to Türkiye, Minister of Finanace Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska delivered an opening address at the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit organised by the Marmara Group Foundation, pointing out that challenges can be overcome through joint ideas, initiatives and cooperation.

"The past years, and especially the Covid pandemic, have brought a new reality and created many challenges that we have faced and are still facing. The war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, inflation, the new, changed conditions in the financial markets, the current customs policies are uncertainties on a global scale that we all feel more or less, and the efforts we make and the energy to deal with them are different. Some ride the waves with more ease, while others face difficulties, but together we can do much more," said Minister Dimitrieska Kochoska.

She added that Macedonia, as a small and open economy, is affected by global developments, and especially developments in Europe, and therefore the Government's policies are aimed at supporting the domestic economy in the short-term in order to cushion the impact of such external influences and increase its competitiveness.

Dimitrieska Kochoska stressed that the country nurtures friendly relations with Türkiye, which is a great supporter in implementing reforms that will accelerate the path to solid prosperity.

This year's summit organised by the Marmara Group Foundation under the theme "A More Humane World - Dialogue for a Liveable World" brings together Eurasian leaders to discuss current issues as ecology, economy, energy, artificial intelligence, and health-sector cooperation.
