Skopje, 29 August 2026 (MIA) - Five wildfires are burning, and one is under control out of the 31 registered wildfires by 7:30 am. Twenty-five fires have been extinguished, says the Crisis Management Center (CMC).

Near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber in the municipality of Studenicani and the branch towards the village of Paligrad, in the direction of Preslap in the municipality of Zelenikovo, a mixed forest is burning, and in the municipality of Saraj - in the village of Kopanica, with an extension towards the village of Radusha, low vegetation and forest. Above the village of Nezhilovo, near the place called Svatovi Svatovi, low vegetation and single trees are burning, in the village of Kopance in the municipality of Jegunovce, mixed forest, and in the village of Crnilishte in Prilep, low vegetation and forest.

Wildfires in the municipalities of Gostivar and Makedonski Brod - village of Trnovo (Municipality of Gostivar) is under control, spreading to the villages of Bitovo, Zagrad and Strajane (Municipality of Makedonski Brod), and affecting low-growing forest, low vegetation, pastures and ferns.
