CMC: Five fires active in City of Skopje area
Skopje, 9 July 2025 (MIA) - The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said five fires are active in the area of the City of Skopje.
The CMC said at 5 p.m. on Wednesday that the fire at the landfill in Vizbegovo, in the Municipality of Shuto Orizari, is still active, and grassland is also burning near the Church of "St. Nikita" in the Municipality of Chucher Sandevo.
Active fires are also burning near Stankovec, in Volkovo, in Gjorche Petrov, and in Katlanovo, Petrovec Municipality.
A total of 14 wildfires were registered in the country until 1 pm on Wednesday, of which 10 active.
The Crisis HQ will meet later on Wednesday at the Government due to the wildfire situation in the country. The Crisis HQ will be chaired by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
