Skopje, 22 July 2025 (MIA) — As part of Skopje Summer festival, Italian pianist Cinzia Bartoli will perform a concert of works by Frédéric Chopin and Maurice Ravel, including his formidable three-movement suite "Gaspard de la nuit” (1908), at the Museum of Macedonian Struggle at 8:30 pm.
The concert program consists of Chopin's Mazurka Op. 17 No. 4 in A minor; Mazurka Op. 67 No. 4 in A minor; Fantaisie-Impromptu Op. 66; and the demanding Scherzo Op. 31 No. 2 in B♭ minor.
Bartoli will also play Ravel's technically challenging "Jeux d'eau" as well as the three movements of "Gaspard de la nuit — Trois poèmes pour piano d'après Aloysius Bertrand," famous for their difficulty: "Ondine," "Le Gibet" and "Scarbo."
