Bitola, 15 June 2026 (MIA) - We are pleased to support an investment worth about EUR 11 million and employing about 230 workers, and we continue to support investments that will be an added value to the Macedonian economy, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski at the opening of a plant for the production of wind and water sports equipment "Brainchild" in Bitola on Monday.

PM Mickoski congratulated the company owner for the decision to invest in the Bitola-based industrial zone Zhabeni.

"The country and Bitola are well-known as good hosts, so I hope we will continue to implement other investments in the coming period," said PM Mickoski.

Bitola Mayor Toni Konjanovski said the Brainchild plant implements environmental standards in production.

"The company's main product is the water ski wing used by top-class athletes. I am happy that the company is investing in the right place," said Konjanovski.

Brainchild CEO Ralf Grösel said the company will make a positive change in the lives of its employees.

"The opening of this plant marks another milestone in our expansion - manufacturing of equipment for wind and water sports in the heart of Europe. Here in Bitola, we are launching one of the most innovative production facilities for wings, using state-of-the-art technologies. We are setting new standards and enabling athletes to achieve world-class results. When we opened our R&D center in Bitola five years ago, I recognized Macedonia's enormous potential. The country has shown impressive development in recent years, owed to the Government's vision and commitment," said Grösel.

The plant is Brainchild’s second facility dedicated to innovative and sustainable products for wind and water sports. Serial production will take place in a newly built, 3,500-square-meter facility.
