Bozhinovska holds meetings to deepen cooperation in energy, mining sectors

Skopje, 12 February 2026 (MIA) — Minister of Energy, Mining and Minerals Sanja Bozhinovska held several working meetings Thursday with international partners to deepen cooperation and exchange experiences in the energy and mining sectors, according to an official press release.

 


At a meeting with Ambassador of Sweden Ola Sollström, Bozhinovska discussed intensifying bilateral cooperation in the mining sector and with Macedonian universities, including the exchange of good practices by Swedish experts. They also talked about developing renewable energy sources and projects to improve ambient air quality as part of the efforts for sustainable economic development and green transition.


At a meeting with Ambassador of the Netherlands Özlem Canel, Bozhinovska discussed promoting cooperation in the energy sector, including support for renewables and strengthening energy efficiency. They highlighted the importance of continuous expert cooperation and the exchange of innovative solutions between the two countries.

 


At a meeting with representatives of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, Bozhinovska was extended an official invitation to attend the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit. The topics of the talks were also investment opportunities in solar energy as well as the Ministry of Energy's current activities and plans.


"Minister Bozhinovska stressed the importance of these meetings for the promotion of North Macedonia as a modern, attractive to investors and environmentally responsible country, which continuously improves the energy and mining sectors and strengthens regional cooperation," the release said. mr/
