Bozhinovska and Bislimoski to attend 9th Balkans Energy Summit in Athens

Skopje, 28 April 2025 (MIA) – Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, will take part in the 9th Balkans Energy Summit in Athens, organized under the patronage of Greece’s Ministry of Environment and Energy, Hungary’s Ministry of Energy and North Macedonia’s Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Bozhinovska, as stated by her Office, will be part of the ministerial panel that will officially open the summit, joining ministers from across the region to discuss the strengthening of strategic energy cooperation in the Balkans. The talks will focus on regional energy security, hybrid energy solutions, and the development of a coordinated response to global challenges.

ERC President Marko Bislimoski will present the national energy transition plan, focusing on North Macedonia’s gradual shift from coal to hydrogen and natural gas, as part of its long-term energy policy, reads the press release.

The 9th Balkans Energy Summit 2025, taking place on April 29-30, is hosting over 40 speakers, including ministers, regulators and energy industry leaders, and serves as a major platform for strategic partnerships and creating new investment opportunities in the region’s energy sector.
