Bomb threats reported in primary schools in Skopje and Kumanovo

Skopje, 28 October 2025 (MIA) - Several primary schools in Skopje and Kumanovo received bomb threat emails Tuesday evening. Police are currently inspecting the schools, the Interior Ministry confirmed.
“Today at about 6 pm, reports were filed with the Skopje and Kumanovo police that emails claiming planted explosives were sent to several schools. Police are conducting inspections,” the MIA said.
Media outlets report that emails containing bomb threats were received by schools in Skopje’s Aerodrom municipality, resulting in the suspension of afternoon classes and children being sent home.

This afternoon, the Kumanovo Police confirmed that several primary schools received messages about planted explosive devices.
Earlier, the Education Sector of Kumanovo Municipality confirmed that emails reporting allegedly planted bombs had been sent to school addresses.
“The bomb threat came via email shortly after 5 pm. Police were called by the schools and responded promptly, evacuating the students safely. The authorities will now check the situation,” stated Alexander Jovanovikj, head of the Education Sector.
