Skopje, 27 August 2025 (MIA) - The natural population growth in the second quarter of 2025 is negative, amounting to -1,135 people, which means that the number of live births is lower than the number of deaths by that many individuals, according to data from the State Statistical Office.

The number of live births recorded in the second quarter of 2025 was 3,741, a decrease of 4.2% compared to the same quarter of 2024.

The number of deaths in the second quarter of 2025 increased by 1.2% compared to the same quarter of 2024 and it amounted to 4,876, of which 13 were infant deaths.

The number of marriages registered in this quarter of the year was 2,792, an increase of 8.1% compared to the same quarter of 2024.

In this quarter of 2025, there were 545 divorces, which represents an increase of 0.4% in comparison with the same quarter of 2024.
