Skopje, 20 August 2025 (MIA) - The minimal consumer basket in August 2025 stands at 65,507 (EUR 1,064), an increase of Mden 179 (EUR 3) compared to July when it stood at 65,328 (EUR 1,061), said the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) on Wednesday.

Compared to the period before the end of the Government's measures, the basket has increased by Mden 2,816.00, i.e. 4.49 percent, it adds.

Renting a 60 m2 apartment increases costs to Mden 80,882 (EUR 1,314).

The cost of food and beverages in the minimal consumer basket in August stands at Mden 24,064 (EUR 391) and is up by Mden 382 (EUR 6.21) compared to July. Compared to the previous period, after the end of the measures, this category records an increase of Mden 2,584.00, i.e. 12.09 percent.

In addition, the SSM notes, the cost of clothing and footwear has been reduced by Mden 114 (EUR 1.85), personal hygiene costs see a decrease of Mden 74 (EUR 1.20), and the cost of transportation has been reduced by Mden16 (EUR 0.26).
