Skopje, 4 August 2025 (MIA) -- An announcement to fill the vacancy of State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption president will be issued Tuesday, Parliament sources said.

The announcement will be published in the Official Gazette and two newspapers, the sources said.

The deadline for submission of applications is 10 days from the day of the publication of the announcement, according to Article 12 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflicts of Interest. 

Last week, the Parliamentary Committee on Election and Appointment Issues decided to issue a public call to fill the vacancy of anti-corruption commission president after Tatjana Dimitrovska resigned from the post on July 25 over allegations of corruption. Parliament accepted her resignation on July 29.

Charges against the nation's anti-corruption watchdog agency head were filed on July 18, when the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption accused Dimitrovska of disclosing official secrets and of having a fake security clearance certificate. mr/
