Skopje, 26 September 2025 (MIA) - Over 800 participants and speakers from the country, as well as from other countries in the region and Europe, will attend the Digital Summit set to take place in Skopje on October 1-2, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, with a focus on cybersecurity and digital services, as well as AI.
In an interview with the Macedonian Radio, Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski said this year the summit has been slightly reorganized. While it used to be intended only for officials and members of governments, this year citizens, the business sector, and universities will also be able to attend and listen to the speakers invited to the summit.
"The main focus will be on cybersecurity, with three panels on the topic, as there was great interest from both the participants and the panellists. Then, digital services. As I promised, we will present the Macedonian mobile super app, and of course we will discuss digital wallet, digital identity, interoperability, new services, connecting institutions, innovations, AI, etc.," said the Minister of Digital Transformation.
As regards the promotion of the event, Andonovski noted that all panels and the opening ceremony, as well as Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski's address, will be broadcast on social networks.
"All interested parties who will not be able to attend the event in person will be able to follow it on social media. I think it will be a great event," said Andonovski, as cited by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
