Skopje, 4 October 2024 (MIA) - You will have no greater partner and supporter in achieving your goals than the United States, and I know this was reiterated at the meeting between President Joe Biden and President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, said U.S. Ambassador Angela Aggeler in answer to a journalist’s question Friday.
Asked about the specifics of the increased assistance provided by the U.S. for North Macedonia that was mentioned at the meeting between the two presidents, Aggeler said they had an excellent meeting, but there was no specific sum discussed.
“As both the Defense Minister and Prime Minister have already said, there are many needs that need to be solved, and because we are already cooperating it is likely about expanding the cooperation we already have. In the coming year there are really important milestones and challenges both for the Army and for the Ministry. And, as we have said previously, you will have no greater partner and supporter in achieving those goals than the U.S. and I know that the President reiterated that at the meeting with your President,” Aggeler said at the Krivolak army field where she attended a military exercise alongside Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, and the Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski.
