Skopje, 20 September 2025 (MIA) - The Election Commission of the City of Skopje told MIA that so far a total of 17 mayoral candidacies have been submitted, of which eight have been confirmed, eight unconfirmed, and one rejected due to late submission.

Regarding the City Council elections, a total of 20 candidate lists have been submitted, of which five have been confirmed, 14 remain unconfirmed, and one was rejected due to late submission.

Notifications to correct irregularities and deficiencies have been sent by the Election Commission of the City of Skopje to all political parties, coalitions, and voter groups. As corrections are made, unconfirmed lists move to confirmed status.

Additionally, the courts have provided data on the candidates in accordance with the law. For candidates requiring updates, political entities independently obtain confirmation from the competent court regarding criminal and penal records.
