
Bogota, 25 November 2020 (dpa/MIA) – At least 40 people were killed in Brazil on Wednesday when a bus collided with a lorry in the state of Sao Paulo, firefighters said.
Thirty-seven of the victims died at the site of the accident on a road linking Taguai with Taquarituba, the tweet said.
Eleven injured people were taken to hospital, according to news portal G1.
The bus was carrying nearly 50 employees of a textile company, G1 reported.
Rescuers were working to release victims stuck in the wreckage.
The reason for the accident was not immediately known.
