
Budapest, 1 March 2021 (dpa/MIA) – Former Croatia national team coach Zlatko Kranjcar died in Zagreb on Monday at the age of 64. He passed away due to a short and serious illness, the state news agency Hina reported.
The Croatian football federation also reported his death.
Kranjcar was Croatia’s coach from 2004 to 2006 and led the national team to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
He started his football career at Dinamo Zagreb and ended it at Rapid Vienna. Since 1991, he has coached several clubs in Austria and Croatia.
