Prague, 20 June 2021 (dpa/MIA) – A huge fire in a village in southern Poland has ripped through dozens of buildings and left nine people injured.
The wounded were brought to hospital with burns and other injuries, while more than 30 buildings were partially or completely destroyed, fire services said Saturday night, as reported by Polish news agency PAP.
Around 400 firefighters fought the flames for hours.
The cause of the blaze was not initially clear. According to a media report, it may have been started by hay that caught fire.
Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced help for those affected.
