Filipche: North Macedonia has procured 833,000 COVID-19 shots, applied to get 800,000 more
North Macedonia has already procured 833,000 COVID-19 shots via the WHO's COVAX initiative. The country will receive vaccines in line with the COVAX distribution plan. We've also sent requests to sign contracts with vaccine developers AstraZeneca and Pfizer and are awaiting their response. Our goal is to vaccinate 60-70% of the population, which experts say is enough to gain collective immunity, Health Minister Venko Filipche told a press briefing following a meeting with the coordination body for COVID-19 vaccination.
