Skopje, 7 August 2026 (MIA) -- To coincide with World Breastfeeding Week, the Public Health Institute has updated its Bebbo app for parents with new content dedicated to breastfeeding and quitting smoking to protect babies' health, the PHI said in a press release.

The app now contains new information on the harmful consequences of smoking, drinking and doing drugs while nursing. It also contains a survey for parents on the topic of breastfeeding and offers support to nursing mothers ready to become non-smokers to protect their children's health.

Additionally, the update contains advice on taking care of baby teeth and preparing the child for their first visit to the dentist.

"The Bebbo app was created to be a reliable partner to parents from pregnancy through early childhood," the PHI said.

The Bebbo mobile app is a free, expert-backed parenting tool created by UNICEF. Available in Macedonian and Albanian, it tracks child development, health check-ups and vaccinations from pregnancy to age six. mr/
