President Siljanovska Davkova welcomed with highest honors by Slovenian counterpart Pirc Musar

Skopje, 18 May 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, who is paying an official visit to Slovenia, was welcomed Monday by Slovenian counterpart Nataša Pirc Musar with full state and military honors.
The two leaders will have a tête-à-tête, followed by a meeting of the Macedonian and Slovenian delegations.

Siljanovska Davkova is also scheduled to meet with Slovenia's Parliament Speaker Zoran Stevanović.
As part of the visit, the Macedonian president will lay a wreath at the Monument to the Victims of All Wars.
During her trip on Sunday, Siljanovska Davkova visited the St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church in Ljubljana and met with leaders of local Macedonian cultural and church groups.

She also met with members of the Macedonian diaspora community in Slovenia working in science, culture and medicine.
In addition, President Siljanovska Davkova held a meeting with Slovenian-Macedonian Business Club members before visiting the Macedonian cultural association in Kranj.
On Tuesday, the President will give a lecture at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Law on the constitutional changes required for the country's European Union membership. mr/ik
