Skopje, 15 August 2026 (MIA) - Kisela Voda is a municipality that has seen an influx of first-graders, a fact that makes us very happy, said Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska, who alongside Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Kisela Voda Mayor Beti Stamenkoska Trajkoska, formally opened a new sports hall in elementary school "Krume Kepeski" in Kisela Voda municipality on Saturday.

Minister Janevska congratulated the municipal residents, the pupils, and the school staff on the new sports hall, which construction cost Mden 19.4 million (EUR 365,000).

"We are also building a sports hall in one other elementary school and rehabilitating two others. In addition, we will build additional six classrooms in three schools, thus ensuring that pupils attend classes in one shift, which is one of the Government's priorities. Kisela Voda is a municipality that has seen an influx in first-graders, a fact that makes us very happy. This is a way meet the requirements so they stay in their place of residence," said Janevska.

PM Mickoski said the Government would continue to support such projects and deliver on its primises.

"More than 1,200 projects are being implemented across the country. This was the Government's objective when it took office more than two years ago and this is how we will continue to operate," said Mickoski.

Mayor Stamenkoska Trajkoska said the new sports hall would give pupils the chance to socialize, develop and grow.

"We are solving problems that have been open for decades. We are also providing uniforms for all pupils in the municipality and backpacks for first-graders, who we want to see in bigger numbers by the year," said Stamenkoska-Trajkoska.
