Skopje, 18 July 2026 (MIA) - As part of his working visit to Washington, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski has met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau. 

"Our two countries are very closely aligned on a wide range of political, economic, and security issues. In an open, friendly and substantive discussion, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation, in the interest of the citizens of both countries," Minister Mucunski posted on Facebook. 

Talks focused on cooperation in concrete areas - defence and NATO alliance, economy, energy and regional connectivity.

"We also exchanged views on the situation in the region, as well as the importance of continued U.S. engagement for the peace, security and prosperity in the Western Balkans," he added.
