Mucunski attends NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Helsingborg

Skopje, 21 May 2026 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister Timcho Mucunski will attend the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Helsingborg, Sweden, Thursday and Friday at the invitation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The meeting will focus on defence investments, developments in Ukraine, the growth of the defence industry, and other pressing regional and global security issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.
The talks will additionally focus on preparations for the NATO Summit in Ankara in July, where important decisions on the future of the Alliance are expected to be made.
During the visit, Mucunski will attend a reception for foreign ministers hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Maria Malmer Stenergard, in the presence of Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, and is also expcted to hold several bilateral meetings.
