Skopje, 30 August 2024 (MIA) - Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski met Friday with the new UNICEF Representative in the country, Lesley Miller.

Toshkovski voiced gratitude over UNICEF’s three-decades-long partnership with the country, stressing that changes for the better in society can only begin by promoting and protecting the rights of children. 

The focus of the meeting, in addition to several aspects of cooperation between MoI and UNICEF was placed on the project for online protection of children from violence and sexual exploitation.

The Interior Ministry’s commitment to providing continued training for police officers in dealing with cases in which children are victims of violence was also highlighted at the meeting.
