Skopje, 12 October 2025 (MIA) — With a week remaining until the local elections on Oct. 19, political parties, coalitions and independent candidates continue promoting their election platforms. Campaign rallies and meetings with voters will take place Sunday in several municipalities.

VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition will hold campaign rallies in Chucher-Sandevo, Sveti Nikole and Shtip. SDSM and the coalition hold campaign rallies in Novo Selo, Bosilovo, Vasilevo, Radovish and Strumica.

In Skopje, VMRO-DPMNE's Skopje mayoral candidate Orce Gjorgievski will give a press conference and SDSM's Skopje mayoral candidate Kaja Shukova will give a media statement. Worth It Chair mayoral candidate Izet Mexhiti, too, will give a news conference.

Also in Skopje, DUI vice president Arber Ademi, Gostivar mayoral candidate Valbon Limani and Jegunovce mayoral candidate Nasir Abazi will give a news conference. Green Humane City representatives will also present their election platform priorities as will the Independents for Macedonia.

Campaigning officially ends on Oct. 17 at midnight, followed by election silence in the 48 hours before people go to the polls. The runoff is scheduled for Nov. 2. mr/
