Skopje, 7 August 2026 (MIA) – The State Statistical Office’s data, released today, regarding the July 2026 inflation level compared to July 2025 is yet another indicator reaffirming the policies created and implemented by the government and suggests stabilisation of economic trends and maintaining of positive trends in the economy, Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said Friday.

According to the latest statistical data, inflation keeps dropping recorded at 2.3 percent at annual level in July. April 2026 recorded inflation at annual level at 5.7 percent, 4.8 in May and 3.4 in June. Price rise slowed down at a monthly level involving all categories of products and services, except in transportation.

“This is yet another encouraging signal about the trends of the economy. With inflation dropping, exports, industrial production and employment record an increase, suggesting that economic policies produce results. It is affirmed also with the rise in tax revenues in the budget until July 31, 2026,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

We, Dimitrieska-Kochoska noted, will continue to closely follow economic trends and create measures tailored in the interests of the citizens, protect the standards for living and strengthen further the Macedonian economy.
