Skopje, 28 July 2026 (MIA) - The Government measures for attraction of tourists yield results, including a 40-percent rise in the number of foreign guests, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Tuesday.
PM Mickoski said the June edition of the World Bank report "Tourism Watch" has registered this growth.
"Macedonia is ranked as the European country with the highest percentage of arriving guests and overnight stays, which is rather impressive. Namely, the number is 40 percent higher compared to 2025," PM Mickoski told reporters.
The PM expects these numbers to be reflected in the second quarter of the GDP.
