Finance Ministry: New €2.9 million support for domestic companies’ investments, Hungarian loan funds to boost economy

Skopje, 12 August 2026 (MIA) - Ministry of Finance has transferred an additional Mden 176.5 million or €2.9 million, from the central budget to the Development Bank, to support investment projects by domestic companies.
With this transfer, as reported by the Ministry of Finance, the government’s total support for domestic companies has reached Mden 14.7 billion, or €239 million.
“This is a significant boost for the realization of private investments and support for economy. The total state support for domestic companies planned in the budget is €250 million. The funds, provided through the budget and channeled via the Development Bank and the network of domestic commercial banks to domestic companies as final beneficiaries, were secured by the government from Hungary’s Export-Import Bank to stimulate an investment cycle in the private sector. Companies can access the funds under favorable terms, with an interest rate of 1.95%, a repayment period of up to 15 years, and a grace period of up to three years,” the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
