Skopje, 15 September 2026 (MIA) — The Faculty of Music Arts will celebrate its 60th anniversary with its traditional "Kosta Trpkov: Young Opera Hopefuls" concert featuring the best students from its solo singing and vocal studio clases.

The rising opera singers will perform under the direction of Bisera Chadlovska at the National Opera and Ballet beginning at 8 pm.

Voice professors Goran Nachevski, Vesna Gjinovska Ilkova and Ivan Naumovski will also perform selected arias as special guests alongside their students.

For more than a decade, the concert has paid tribute to voice professor Kosta Trpkov (1919-1993), who is considered one of the founding fathers of the modern Macedonian vocal school. mr/
