Demir Kapija, 14 August 2026 (MIA) - A ban to drink the water in Demir Kapija was put in place on Friday afternoon by the town's public utility enterprise "Boshava".

The public enterprise said analyses of two samples taken over the past week produced different results.

The analysis of the sample taken on Monday by the Public Health Institute-Skopje showed that the water does not meet the requirements as per the drinking water rulebook, while the sample taken on Tuesday by the Public Health Center-Veles showed that the water meets the requirements, Boshava wrote on its Facebook account.

It adds that a super-analysis would be carried out on Monday (August 17), noting that the ban is valid until the results of the super-analysis are made public.
