Customs officers seize clothes, accessories, kamagra, fragrances

Skopje, 23 September 2024 (MIA) — Customs officials have prevented several attempts of smuggling clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, sunglasses, wristwatches, kamagra, razors, lighters, housewares, honey, grape malt, fragrances and various tools over the past week, the Customs Administration said in a press release.

 

According to the release, 113 pairs of undeclared designer sunglasses and 13 wristwatches were found in the luggage of a Macedonian citizen arriving from Istanbul during a customs check at the Skopje International Airport.

 

A Macedonian citizen and a Serbian citizen tried to smuggle into the country 318 pieces of jewelry via the Bogorodica border crossing from Greece. The jewelry was hidden under the front seats of the car.

 

At the Tabanovce crossing with Serbia, customs agents found 197 pieces of undeclared children's clothing in a van with Macedonian license plates.

 

Tabanovce customs agents also foiled an attempt to smuggle into the country 255 various undeclared items including clothes, shoes, bed linen, household utensils, tools and fragrances found in a vehicle with Macedonian license plates.

 

Three undeclared bags, 124 pieces of clothing, and 20 pieces of jewelry were found during a customs check of a car with Macedonian license plates entering the country via the Dojran border crossing.

 

A truck with Macedonian license plates was stopped at the Romanovce toll plaza and a detailed check revealed 125,684 undeclared items, including 120,000 razors, 1,200 lighters, 1,100 sachets of kamagra, 23 kilograms of grape malt, 47 kilograms of honey, 722 EDP fragrances and 89 eau de toilettes.

 

Customs agents also discovered 5,111 apparently counterfeit toys during the import control of goods originating from China. 


Appropriate charges will be filed in all cases, the release says. mr/
