Skopje, 13 August 2026 (MIA) - The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said it registered a total of 51 wildfires across the country by 7:30 am on Thursday. Five of them are active, four are under control, and 42 have been put out. 

Active fires are burning near the village of Morane in the Municipality of Studenichani, near the village of Staro Baldovci in the Municipality of Bosilovo, near the village of Makovo in the Municipality of Novaci, near the village of Muzhdivnjak in the Municipality of Kriva Palanka, and near the village of Loznani in the Municipality of Mogila. 

Fires at the city landfill in Delchevo, near Novo Selo in the Ograzhden mountain, near the village of Manastirsko Dolenci in the Municipality of Kichevo, and near the village of Kopance in the Municipality of Jegunovce are under control. 

The CMC said the extinguished fires were registered in the municipalities of Vrapchishte, Gostivar, Zhelino, Jegunovce, Tetovo, Delchevo, Probishtip, Shtip, Debar, Debarca, Kichevo, Resen, Prilep, Krivogashtani, Bitola, Ilinden, Gazi Baba, Kisela Voda, Chair, Zelenikovo, Saraj, Gjorche Petrov, Shuto Orizari, Makedonski Brod, Kumanovo, Tearce, Centar Zhupa, Novaci, Dolneni, and Lipkovo.
