Skopje, 15 June 2026 (MIA) ― Business entities completed 44.5 billion denars worth of construction work and built 3,733 homes in 2025, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office.

During the year, construction companies built 1,852 structures. The completed homes spanned a total of 280,644 square meters of floor area, averaging 75.2 square meters per home. Private owners bought 3,677 of the units. The Skopje region saw the highest amount of construction activity.

Private owners completed 16.2 billion denars worth of construction work and built 2,518 homes in 2025. Construction work took place on 2,113 structures during the year, mostly in the Polog region.

The completed homes spanned a total floor area of 320,404 square meters. This included 92 vacation homes, which accounted for 11,114 square meters of the total floor area. mr/
