Skopje, 5 June 2025 (MIA) -- The 24th OFFest festival of world music begins Thursday and will run through Sunday, offering performances by musicians from eight countries, organizers said.
The concerts will take place at the National Opera and Ballet and the MKC Youth Cultural Center.
A performance by Macedonian father-son duo Dragan & Ratko Dautovski will open the festival Thursday evening, followed by a concert by Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino from Italy.
Kimmo Pohjonen from Finland and Maria João Аbundância from Portugal will perform Friday evening. Vieux Farka Touré from Mali and Florence Adooni from Ghana will perform Saturday evening.
Júlia Kozáková Trio from Slovakia and Mordái from Hungary will perform Sunday evening, with Macedonian experimental band Lufthansa closing this year's OFFest.
Earlier Sunday, the festival will also screen the documentary about Brazilian music "Saravah" (1969) at MKC's Frosina cinema. mr/
