Skopje, 10 July 2020 (MIA) – The Cinematheque of North Macedonia is organizing outdoor screenings of four films on July 10-13 in its park.
The event opens Friday with the screening of Teona Strugar Mitevska’s God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya, which won the LUX Prize for best film in 2019.
The Guest by Duccio Chiarini – a Italy, Switzerland and France co-production – is slated for Saturday. Sunday evening is reserved for Marie Kreutzer’s The Ground Beneath My Feet. Katrina’s Dream by Dario Bischofberger and Mirko Bischofberger will be screened on Monday evening.
All screenings start at 9 pm.
“European Film Challenge will mark the first weekend. It’s an innovative digital platform that promotes European cinema. All visitors can be part of the challenge by registering on the website europeanfilmchallenge.eu. After creating a profile, they can mark the films they have watched and share moments (photo, video) on social networks using #EuropeanFilmChallenge,” said the Municipality of Karposh, one of the co-organizers.
It calls on the visitors to abide by the anti-coronavirus measures: wearing face coverings, maintaining distance and using hand sanitizers when entering and leaving the premises.
