Berlin, 30 October 2020 (dpa/MIA) – Arsenal enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory in the Europa League over Dundalk, and Napoli picked up a slender 1-0 win at Real Sociedad.
Irish minnows Dundalk stood firm for 42 minutes, but Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock struck in quick succession just before the break. Nicolas Pepe then added a third one minute into the second-half to keep Mikel Arteta’s men perfect in Group B.
Napoli, second in Serie A, had just enough to beat Spanish league leaders Sociedad, with Matteo Politano’s deflected effort the difference between the teams. Victor Osimhen’s late red card was not enough to stop the Italian outfit from picking up their first win after losing 1-0 against AZ Alkmaar last week.
Among other matches, 10-man Bayer Leverkusen lost 1-0 at Slavia Prague, and Benfica hammered Standard Liege 3-0. French side Nice secured an emotional 1-0 win over Hapoel Beer Sheva hours after a terrorist knife attack killed three people in the city.
